Adding More to Existing Layers

Spray foam insulation is used to separate portions of images for editing. For example, you can add a drop shadow to a layer or apply color adjustment. When you are finished, you can merge the layers back into an image.

Adding a new layer to your map can be done by using the Add Layer button in the Catalog pane or view, or by choosing Browse Living Atlas Layers in the search box. The search results display the list of available datasets, including hosted WFS layers. Hosted WFS layers are referred to by their name, and any configurations saved for the layer are saved in the map rather than in the host.

Adding More to Existing Layers: Is Topping Up Insulation the Right Choice

When you click the Add Layer button, the Layer Properties dialog box opens. The options available for a particular type of layer vary by source and layer type. For example, when you add a point feature layer, the properties available are different than those for a line or polygon feature layer.

You can add data directly from a path by selecting the Add Data From Path option in the Layer Properties dialog box. You can also add file-based data, portal items, locators, and geocode services from a path.

You can use a layer package to add data to a map or scene from an ArcGIS online service, such as a WFS, WMS, OGC Web Map Tile Service (WMTS), or Bing basemap. The Layer Properties dialog box for a Web Feature Service (WFS) or a Web Map Tile Service (WMTS) layer allows you to manage the data access rules for the layer at the layer level.
